High School Math
Email Mr. Dussan at BDussan@redlandchristianacademy.org
It is my pleasure to greet you this new school year, and introduce myself. My name is Belarmino Dussan, and I am the Mathematics Instructor for the Middle School and High School Levels. This will be my twenty fourth year in Christian Education, but my first year at Redland Christian Academy.
Mathematics provides a myriad of skill sets, that when mastered, give students prowess in solving problems. A mastery of critical thinking will prepare the diligent student for many of the situations that will arise, not only in their academic pursuits, but in society.
Understanding the world at large from a Christian Perspective will provide the student a valued advantage in our society. They will be able to see God’s order and beauty in His creation. Mathematics will give the students a glimpse of how God brought form from chaos, and light from darkness.
Starting in the 6th grade through the 8th grade, students will begin thinking for themselves. Their critical thinking skills will be honed in preparation for Upper School Mathematics. In the Upper School, beginning with Algebra I, they will be guided through the mathematics of objects (Geometry), 2 and 3 dimensional equations (Algebra II), and then higher order equations with trigonometric properties. The process will require rigorous study and consistent responsibility.
It is my hope that I will be able to provide an educational environment so that your child can grow, and thrive as they achieve their God given potential.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns.
In His Service,
