Welcome to 2010 – 2011 School Year! I am thankful to be a part of RCA’s faculty for another year and I am praying that the students who are under my care may be enthusiastic about learning. My primary goal is to daily remind the students that they are valuable to God, were created as unique individuals and that Jesus loves, cares and made a way for them to know HIM. This way is through Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to pay the penalty of the wrong things we all do. Bible stories and biblical principles are used to encourage students to put into practice Christian character traits such as honesty, respect, integrity, courage, forgiveness, thanksgiving and self-control. Academically, my plans for your child’s progress this year include the essential skills of Reading, Language Art and Math which are developed and used in Social Studies, Science and Health. Spanish, Computers, Art and P.E. will complete the curriculum for this grade level. In addition, I am looking forward to implementing library trips, independent/group study and more. These plans will show your child’s improvement ONLY with the students’ desire and active participation in his/her studies. Thank you parents, in advance, for being the wonderful role models that you are as you lead by example sharing the importance of the academic, social and spiritual aspects of your child’s life. I will do my best to reinforce the example you have given as it demonstrates discipline, integrity and persistence which are important objectives to help your child reach his or her full potential. Your support and cooperation in the fulfillment of the school’s mission is an integral part to help your child succeed. I pray that the Lord may use this year to be a blessing and encouragement to you and to each student in my classroom.
